Why does the Governor of Maine hate New Hampshire?

In a recent interview, she did not have kind words for her neighbors in the Live Free or Die state.

Since making the move to New Hampshire one year ago, I have noticed two consistent phenomena:

1. Free Staters keep winning.

2. Slave Staters keep whining.

This week, we have crystal clear examples of both.

What a weekend to remember.

For those of us who participated in the Ron Paul Revolution during the presidential campaigns of 2008 and 2012, it was a grand reunion of some of the best grassroots liberty activists across America.

Over 1000 were in attendance.

I have a confession to make.

Today is my 37th birthday — and right now, I am down in Lake Jackson, Texas, preparing to celebrate Ron Paul’s 90th birthday. (Apparently, the good doctor and I are both Leos.)

While it’s safe to say my birthday is being overshadowed a little bit, it is an honor to spend the day together again with so many friends from the Ron Paul Revolution — those who worked tirelessly for his libertarian populist presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012.

For the Free State, it is more than a motto — it is a mission:

“Live Free or Die —
Death is Not the Greatest of Evils.”

This Thursday marked the 216th anniversary of General John Starks’ immortal words, delivered in a toast to veterans of the Battle of Bennington.

There are few things more beautiful than the New Hampshire North Country — especially in the summer and autumn.

This year, the North Country Porcupines have really put their region on the map as a destination for all who love liberty — with a thriving community, a new clubhouse (The Pine), and a homegrown, three-day music festival.

Speaking of that music festival… Freedom Palooza begins today!

If you are experiencing summertime sadness, then you must not be in the Free State — because there’s no time for that here.

The mild summers of New Hampshire make this one of the most beautiful places to be this time of year to make memories with friends and family.

Even the mainstream media admits we are in the midst of a beautiful New Hampshire weekend!

Of course not — we’ve only just begun.
